Brand LA to Support Select LA Investment Summit as Nonprofit Partner

Brand LA announced that it's supporting Southern California's premier international trade event — the Select LA Investment Summit — as a Nonprofit Partner.

Select LA is hosted by the World Trade Center Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC). Its main goal is to bring together investors from around the world with business and government leaders from Southern California. The event offers a unique opportunity for businesses seeking to secure foreign direct investment (FDI) and gain exclusive insights into our region's market trends and deal flow.

As the region's marketing communications arm, Brand LA's participation in this year's Select LA Investment Summit is an important step in the nonprofit's development strategy to centralize marketing messaging that identifies one of our region's main goals.

"FDI is an integral part of Los Angeles economic development, and our nonprofit supports all vital efforts that benefit our diverse communities," said Ivy Arias, Brand LA's founder.

Arias is the former Head of Integrated Marketing Communications of the LAEDC and worked closely with LAEDC's subsidiary, the World Trade Center Los Angeles (WTCLA).

The WTCLA assists foreign companies seeking to locate or expand their business operations in the Los Angeles region. It also helps local companies seeking to export products or services to international markets. The organization's FDI Attraction Program focuses on attraction, education and connection; and its Export Facilitation Program concentrates on industry-specific recruitment of companies primed for export and partnerships that benefit local enterprises and LA companies securing international business opportunities.

This year's Select LA Investment Summit presents a 360 platform to potentially forecast the future of foreign direct investment in the Los Angeles region. Brand LA is poised to capture what this will mean for the economic identity of Los Angeles, and thus visually articulate these messages as part of integrated communications campaigns that convey our region's outlook — adding a component to the knowledge Brand LA shares as part of its programs. Any and all efforts that elevate our region are vital to also support underserved communities.

This year's Select Investment Summit's theme combines sports and entertainment in Los Angeles and Brand LA covers our region's developments in these important arenas.
