MedTech Color (MTC)—the nation's leading nonprofit organization that's on a mission to advance the representation of persons of color in the medical device industry—has partnered with Brand LA to double down on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
MTC's partnership with Brand LA includes the deployment of Marketing Communications and PR campaigns to showcase success stories and highlight solutions to persistent diversity challenges in the medtech industry. As well, growing MTC's support networks to propel the organization's core mission and various programs.
MedTech Color provides an essential platform to industry professionals through collaborative opportunities, which are designed to explore and tackle representation goals from an inclusive approach to empower more persons of color in medtech.
Through vital partnerships with some of the country's most vocal advocates of diversity, and not just in the medtech industry, MTC has managed to elevate representation in innovation through the organization's Annual Pitch Competition.
The event supports the next generation of diverse industry leaders by providing early-stage medtech founders with much-needed funding, programming, mentorship, and insights from top executives. The initiative has already awarded over $300,000 in cash and in-kind services.
The MedTech Color Annual Networking Breakfast helps to showcase and discover diverse talent, while extending new opportunities to all participants. This is MTC's marquee event to drive its core pillar of building a strong, diverse network of mentors and sponsors, who champion thought leadership and innovative clinical advancement. The next gathering is on October 25, 2022 in Boston, MA, as part of The MedTech Conference.
Brand LA's core mission and programs are aligned with MedTech Color's. Both nonprofit organizations are invested in effective communications for the benefit of the communities, which their respective programs and partnerships plan to reach every year.
Brand LA provides essential Marketing Communications know-how and resources to support organizations, leaders, businesses, and CBOs across all industries, and above all, those that advance economic growth in Los Angeles.
Our nonprofit operates with a 'glocal' perspective in the biggest county in the nation. Thus, our mission also extends to strengthening foreign direct investment (FDI), bolstering national and international business success, and elevating U.S. global competitiveness. The medtech industry is critical to our country's healthcare infrastructure and value centricity is key to commercial transformation, innovation, and marketplace expansion.
MedTech Color's mission proposes a more diverse medtech industry, the fruits of which will positively impact underrepresented communities, and Brand LA's DEI program is already delivering on this essential partnership.
